The internet doesn't represent the fanbase anymore. Pokemon transitioned to a lifestyle brand and /vp/ is irrelevant now.

It literally doesn't matter if this shit board with its faggot fans buy or don't buy. GF also killed Smogon by creating its own ladder with Dynamax allowed and a whole new approach to stall.

sorry to break it to you but people are very unhappy with new horizons as well.

Lots of people bought the game and got screwed over by the "one island per console" garbage. People who share a switch pretty much wasted 60 dollars.

Now that they patched the dupe glitch the reviews will probably get better over time. That said, we need to see how the April event goes before people come to a consensus.

I'm loving New Horizons myself, but the fact that "Resident Representative" (1st player to start the game) has so much more control over the island than other players is bullshit. I hated it just as much in New Leaf, and it's apparently even worse here, which sucks because I want my family to enjoy my island too.

The best part about using AC as an example here is that AC's moving to a system where the game will get free content and event updates as it goes along, both to keep people playing it and to prevent time travelers from getting everything in two days.
S&S is getting $60 in DLC and barely any bugfixes, on top of being a hollow shell of a game.

To be fair, the beginning of ACNH almost forces you to time travel, otherwise you have to wait 3 fucking days to open the museum, which is absurd. All I wanna fo is fill my Critterpedia and have a gloriously full Blathers-approved hall of beasties, but now I have to find somewhere else to put them while I wait for construction to finish. Dumb.
