psychic-fairy is one of the better type combinations in the game. the great special defense on mega gardevoir means it's a better switch-in than most give it credit for, and pixilateis a BUSTED ability. you can also be sneaky with synchronize if you're good.
telepavoir is busted in doubles.

What are you talking about? Mega Alakazam was OU in gen 7 and the only reason Alakazam wasn't OU as well was because the mega existed, yet it still got banned from UU. Meanwhile, base Gardevoir was rotting down in RU until the mega BARELy managed to get itself banned from UU.

Base Alakazam is just as viable as MEGA Gardevoir. Now, COPE.

Alakazam is superior in every way that counts.
Even if you ignore the tiers because >fanfic meta, Alakazam has higher special attack and speed, which are the only 2 stats it'll ever be using anyway.
Shit, base Alakazam is faster than Mega Gardevoir.
And you can get Alakazam at level 16 as long as you have either a friend or another copy of the game and another console.
Really, the only reason to use Gardevoir is if Alakazam was erased from existence in some bizarre marketing ploy.
