But i didn't find this as tedious, completing HG pokedex was fun, i revisited Emerald, FR, LG, Diamond and Pearl, i had fun playing them, i tried weird teams and explored every corner of the map.
I didn't have any fun completing SWSH pokedex, let alone the main game, it wasn't boring but it wasn't fun either
Would it be different without the cut? No, the game itself is flawed, no amount of dlc or returning pokemon can change the base game.
