Not having every Pokemon in every game would be fine if Pokemon moved on from its primitive combat and adopted a system where Pokemon actually functioned differently in terms of gameplay instead of just being pictures with numbers attached.

But we're still stuck with babby's first RPG with only spin-off games and the anime utilizing Pokemon's real abilities.
