unless you're playing XY lol. Any game with a "roster" will have people concerned over what the roster is comprised of and people will rightfully be upset if their favourites are ignored while others are constantly shilled.
Now shilling isn't necessarily a bad thing. You want your product to be successful and whatever's most popular is your best bet of making money. It's also a bad idea to invest in something you know isn't going to make bucks, i.e. the least used parts of the roster. With Pokemon, however, it's taken to such a great extreme that half of the roster may as well not exist and it feels like an insult to the teambuilding concept of the franchise. Nobody's asking for them to shill things like Volbeat and Comfey, just for them to calm down and stop religiously relying on Kanto at the expense of every other generation's identity.
