>>43163912This. Gens 2 and 3 are fantastic because they have different bag slots and the main items one was limited. Gen 1 had a terrible bag and PC system where you could barely have every key item, HM and some TMs, and since Gen 4 there's no consequence on having a lot of items. They could also implement a feature where "your bag gets too heavy" and you can either carry many individual items or a lot of specific items (excluding things like Key Items, of course). Besides, it doesn't make sense for the player to be able to carry so many items and the bag becomes extremely clunky with things like Mega Stones, Plates, Incenses, Poke Balls, battle items and adventure items on the same bag slot
