Is there a list of ROM hacks that make every game more difficult? If there is, I want to know so I can play through from Gen 1-5 again but with the games actually being hard.

The Drayno hacks (FireRed Omega, SacredGold, Renegade Platinum, VoltWhite/Blaze Black) cover most gens. afaik he hasn't done a Gen 3 game? So I guess Emerald Kaizo can fill the gap

Wait, there's ROM hacks for the 3DS games and SWSH? I guess I understand 3DS since it has emulators now but how are people playing SWSH hacks?

i think most people are playing the hacks on a jailbroken switch though. the security is so shit, you can unlock it with a bent paperclip.

Literally nobody has ever said this. The older games were still easy, just not totally braindead easy like Gen 6 and on.

Storm Silver has been fun for the amount of it that I played. I imagine that it's counterpart hack for Heart Gold would be just as enjoyable. Higher level curve, larger variety of pokemon, often more pokemon per trainer, and every "boss" trainer (gym leaders, E4, etc) have 6.

It's just red & blue but the AI is better, all the gen 1 bugs are fixed, and QoL updates. No mons or mechanics from later gens. "Set" style is hard mode and you can turn on trainer scaling to make it even harder.
