i dont like having to grind waterfall pond, but it sure is much better than having to find metal coats, link cables, deepsea tooth, deepsea scale, firestone, water stone, leaf stone, moon stone, sun stone, and kings rocks again. grinding waterfall pond can be done in about 20min for 2 evolution stones, but damn i can only get like 6 stones a day before im burned out of it. I only need 36 stones left.....
Umbreon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Sylveon, Yanmega, Gliscor, Gallade, Snorlax, Probopass, Roserade, Weavile (and Alakazam, Mantine and Kingdra too). time to play waterfall pond only 18 more times

Am I the only one who doesn't give a fuck about reviews and genuinely is having loads of fun playing this comfy ass game? People who didn't play the original don't know how fucking hard it was to get legendaries in the first place. Some of their befriend rates are absolutely abysmal.
I can't defend the removal of the SOUL from the friend camps tho, but I can understand. With the inclusion of the buffing items like the gummies and the vitamins, it makes it easier to check the team's stats for a quick buff. They kept the music and the sprites are kinda cute.
All in all it's not a perfect remake but it's certainly not as trash as you niggas make it out to be. It's meant to be played casually and if you expected any more then you're shooting yourself in the foot expecting any decent quality from this god-forsaken franchise.

I can. The Pokémon didn't even do anything. They just walked around randomly. They didn't have special interactions with their environment or each others, there was literally nothing to it. It was already a menu, but a million times more clunky. If you're mad at this change, it means you don't care about the game, but only about pointless details that don't add anything to the experience.

Friend areas are shit to use in the original. It's a lot of back and forth between them to swap out team members. Rescue camps are so much more convenient and faster to use.

It's not content, it's literally just a menu. It's always been. You're not playing when you move from a friend area to another at the start of each day to go form your team because the game's design doesn't make any sense and you need to waste 2 minutes in a menu doing something useless. Moving a sprite around a small map with nothing in it is not playing either.

it's funny, because it's probably the most consumer friendly a special edition in pokemon ever got
it removes almost nothing (unlike other third versions which add stuff but also remove certain Pokemon so paired versions don't become obsolete), mostly just moves things around (like Pokemon availability).
Sky pretty much makes Time and Darkness obsolete, with very few reasons to play them over Sky.

Yeah I agree completely. Sky only removed some starter options (why? not that it matters anymore now that we have custom starters, but still) and only added or improved things otherwise.
