I remember seeing this movie when I was around 13. At the time I thought this ending was so deep but also kind of fucked up. On one hand I was blown away because that was one of the first times I saw an open ending where you have to interpret it. It could either be the girl or Latias (even tho it was the mon 100%). But that's what kinda made it a bit weird too, because for years I thought that Ash's best love interest was a Pokemon and even as a teen I was aware that is probably borderline bestiality
