I've been trying to add at least one more type to whatever I'm working on and testing which one would work best.
I've started off with a bunch of types me and other people made and by process of what would work the best, what's already covered and so fourth I got to 3 types that I think would work the best: Cyber, Music and Plastic.
Yes, they're popular suggestions and nothing ground breaking, but I see as many people against any of those.
Cyber (or Digital) would just allow for more modern designs. While we already have Steel and Electric types I don't think many of them would actually need to be converted into this one (at least less than we had with Fairy type conversion).
Music type is the one I'd want the most, but also the one I see most issues with. Namely lack of physical moves, converting even more Normal type Pokemon than Fairy type did and the fact that sound based attacks already exist and have their own category/related abilities.
That being said, with testing I still feel it can work (Physical moves would be scarce and mostly related to vibrations/dance moves, but than again, Fairy type barely has any physical moves as well)
Plastic would mostly be a balancing type and is another type that back in the day would never work, but with more modern Pokemon I feel like it does.
Just like with Poison type covering toxins, venoms etc., despite it being called Plastic for simplicity it could cover all sorts of fanmade materials (such as rubber) that aren't Steel based and can't be given to another type.
Just like with the first type it could just be used for more modern designs and concepts. It would also make sense for it to be weak against and be easily destroyed by Ice types/Fire types.
Out of these 3 which one do you like or hate the most? Why so?
