Update: Finally beat Wattson after 15+ attempts, dude was wrecking my shit. Had to basically build a whole team around him. Camerupt is basically a necessity since no other Ground type can take a HPGrass.
Apparently this shit gets even harder too, not looking good for me brehs

Chimeco is pretty based in this hack, its stats are really great considering you can get it pre-1st Gym and it learns Hypnosis/Wish which is nice since you can't heal

Later on I'm sure I'll drop it but at the very start of the game it's basically unkillable and has precious heals for my team. 475 BST at a time where most things are sub-400 is nothing to underestimate.
I really need to get around to trying Colosseum/XD

The Orre games are a change of pace from the normal games. The default battle style is Doubles, and there's a limited number of pokemon that you can get. Hell, XD had the Physical/Special split for the Shadow moves IIRC.

Not him, but Renegade Platinum was probably my best Pokemon experience. Very well-polished, and difficult without being unfair.

Yeah its the Drayano hack of Platinum, and as >>43194777 said, its a damn great pokemon experience, I am loving it so far, it feels like how I remembered Platinum in a way, challenging, just like how it was for little 9 yo me lmao, its great, not stupidly hard but its also not forgiving. Definitely a must play.

Did a flying type run in Ruby. Wattson was a huge pain in the ass. Would've been a grinding nightmare if I was playing Emerald. Forgot how busted the pickup ability was in Ruby/Sapphire. You can get so much cool shit regardless of your level. I ended up with dozens rare candies/proteins and got so many super potions/full restores/full heals that i never needed to buy healing items.
