Only if you're into competitive, which is probably like 20-30% players to begin with. Off of those, I'd guess that about 30% tops inject their pokemon. And off of those, I doubt the games themselves are pirated for many of them. If you're into competitive, you'll obviously want to avoid getting banned. I can guarantee you no person going to the VGC events has their game pirated but at least have of them have hacked pokemon
That's another thing: you can have a hacked switch, buy the game legally, and patch it into a difficulty hack. Getting over GFs bullshit is absolutely not exclusive to people who pirated the game. The only thing pirates have over buyers is some more money

Pokemon is a lifestyle brand and shills want to reward content creators for creating things they love
Rather, I don't understand pirates. Why go to all that effort to play mediocre as shit games? Why not play Showdown which is superior in every way and barely worse in the graphics department?
