The *actual* conflict was Ghetsis's world domination, and once you see the game was full of shit this whole time and the underlying plot was terribly generic, then all illusion of this game having an ambitious plot and philosophy goes out the fucking window.

Just this past Pokemon Day, the Unova dex received the LEAST votes overall for any dex when determining the best Pokemon of each region, and had iirc only *one* (1) representative in the Top 10. Most people do not care for Unova, and think it is worse than other regions---and the reasons for which were clear to them from the very moment of playing the games even if they weren't fully conscious of it. Everyone but Unovaborts can see them.
