This. I feel that they should have had abilities that use their code names and tied to their abilities, and then Beast Boost could have been a Hidden Ability that they had tied to the Ultra Beasts. Maybe the abilities could have looked like this;
>Symbiote could act as an auto-constricting move that only activates on switch-in and only lasts for three turns while trapping the opponent
>Absorption causes all attacking moves to drain 25% of the damage attacks do
>Beauty acts as an auto-attract that works on all Pokémon unless they have Oblivious
>Lighting could lower the accuracy of moves while Xurkitree is in battle without it being a stat change
>Blade gives all attacking moves the effect of bypassing stat changes
>Blaster could add the effects of roar/whirlwind on Celesteela's attacking moves
>Gluttony allows hazard removal for 1/16 of Guzzlord's HP for each hazard removed, including different layers
>Adhesive acts as a speed Intimidate
>Stinger does an auto-toxic on switch-in
>Burst could give Blacephalon an intact Life Orb
>Assembly could set up screens and other moves like safeguard that last for three turns

Nah these ideas are great, they just need some small adjustments like

And even then only 3 of the ultra beasts really look like the part of being alien to earth, Celesteela, Naganhadel and Nihelego. The rest either look like cartoon characters or are just lazy

Naganadel is the least alien, it looks the closest to legendaries from older gens.

I love the Ultra Beasts. My main complaint would be that some (mainly Stakataka and Poipole) could easily pass as regular Pokemon. Pheromosa, too, though it does have a bit of a creepy thin alien vibe.
