Got me wondering what's the longest you could possibly spend on one turn? I guess it would be in DPP doubles with a Blissey on each team and something with speed boost/rain dish plus all of the things you mentioned in the OP

I can't touch anything other than showdown when playing smogon or VGC, pokemon's battle system really needs to be streamlined to transmit information faster.

replace healing items with stat boosting berries
sandstorm brings all pokemon down to berry range, all of them get a stat boost with that long-ass animation along with it

Why is every event in a Pokemon battle so sluggish to begin with? Why aren't all textboxes and in battle shown besides every animation? Or better yet, why can't they use an easy to access status screen filled with all that bullshit that has happened so far like in the PMD games?

Looks like it takes about 25 seconds to get through a max. HP Blissey's health bar in DP.
If you had four at 50% HP heal with Softboiled and then faint from Perish Song, you're looking at about three minutes from that alone. I can only imagine how much worse it could get.
