It's a portable console which they probably used years ago. Its not that hard, anything gets wear and tear especially handhelds.

I love it but have no idea how to make heads or tails of all of them. I raided one of the old pastebins a while ago and STILL don't know what the best vanilla Emerald overhaul is supposed to be.

This one had a lot of backlash back then since the "creator" actually stole stuff from other people without permission. And to be fair, he's not the only spic "rom-hacker" that does this kind of shit.

I always recommend to play the og games first and then any hack you want, but if you really wanna play a hack first then go for the Drayano hacks. Renegade Platinum is my favorite one (also his latest hack) you can customize your game with the patches he provides in case you don't like some of the changes. Sacred Gold/Storm Silver and Volt White 2/Blaze Back 2 are also pretty good so you may as well give them a try.

I got Desmume for my MacBook to emulate Pokémon Diamond. I have it and the Diamond rom but when I try and select the .7z file to load it it’s greyed out and unselectable. What’s the issue?

When I was younger, there existed a semi-popular 3rd gen hack.
It is called "Pokemon Feuergrün", which translates to "Fire Green", because it was supposed to be humourous and funny.

It wasn't. Yet, it's existence has to be acknlowedged, if you are aiming for a complete list of literally all rom hacks.

I also remember something like "Light Platinum" which focused Arceus but I am unable to find it.
