Consider the following:
Pokemon is indeed the biggest media franchise in history.
Nintendo doesn't announce it, but the next main series pokemon game will be given 6+ years for development.
If that amount of time is not long enough, the release will be delayed.

Would you be willing to wait 6+ years for the next main series entry?

Is there a chance that it would be any better just because development got more time?

there are plenty of other series where people wait 6+ years for the next entry, pokemon will be fine if that happens if they make sure to have spin offs and other things during the wait.

It'd be pretty funny if that 6-year dev cycle brought back a lot of features from previous games (DexNav, Pelago, Underground, Entralink, etc.) only for Festival Plaza to also make a return and be just as stupid if not worse than how it was in Alola

The only way this scenario would ever happen is if the higher ups TPCi decided that continuously churning out middling-quality games as fast as economically possible was not the way to go, and that more time should be spent on filling the game with story-related content to keep single generations alive for longer. This is retardedly unlikely, however; if stinky shits like LGPE can make big bank solely off the 20+ y/o KANTOOOOOOOOO hype train, the cycle is unlikely to change for a long, long time.
Masuda isn't the problem with pokemon, TPCi is. pic unrelated.

I think it would be cool if the story was long enough that the player's mons would be at level 100 by the time they beat the game. Maybe it's just my autism, but I don't like the fact that the maximum level is 100 but the games always end with trainer using around level 50-60 mons

As someone hoping Pikmin 4 is much better than the mediocre graphics show that was Pikmin 3, I can tell you as long as it's during my lifetime, I don't care. I just want something as quality as the first 5 gens and Pikmin 2.

Absolutely this. It's appalling how short and barebones the main campaigns are, especially when a large chunk of the fanbase doesn't really play beyond beating the champ. I'd love it if evolution levels got a significant boost as well, it sucks how many Pokemon evolve so soon after you get them giving you no time with some stages. There are Pokemon that reach their final stage at level fucking 10, only 10% of the max level cap.

Pity Nintendo are quite content (if not subtly poking Game Freak) to continue the current series release schedule as they see the games as a kid-focused franchise moreso than an "everyone" franchise and the fact they don't own it means more releases from Game Freak = less work/games EAD need to shit out in a year.
There's also the small fact of Nintendo owning 1/3rd of TPC (well, 30%) and like all good shareholders, will absolutely want TPC to remain as profitable as it's been these last few years, which means more reason for Game Freak to keep up production on the Pokémon conveyor belt.
These games aren't made with you in mind, never were once you aged out of the target audience son. They're not going to kow-tow to you when the alternative is to continue raking in money hand over fist.

As long as they let us know they're working on it from time to time, then sure

A common consensus is that SWSH was rushed, and it really shows. They're not falling short on ideas, just execution, so more time would definitely lead to more quality overall.

Which only appeared after it was revealed Game Freak had hired more staff and contracted work out n the games, like retards here had been crying they should do to make their games. It's all a big fat TRUCKLOAD of cope to handle the fact Game Freak don't give a shit for making games to suit adults, either in execution or looks. And let's face it, why should they? Their outlook just keeps getting vindicated each release.

Are you telling me they can't spare some extra money to hire more people for the highest grossing media franchise in history?
Sword and Shield's quality was on the scale of a AA game studio FFS. A team of 60 indie devs could do better.

It's the most linear of all the Pikmin games, and Pikmin games are already fairly linear in the beginning. They overcompensated too much in balancing the combat abilities for the Pikmin (since Pikmin were too unbalanced in Pikmin 2). The worst part is that the game became much more discreet with how everything was organized (strictly combat area/strictly puzzle area, no blend like with the roaming enemies, overworld bosses, and randomized layout of dungeons in Pikmin 2). At best, there will be something like water surrounding a boss, so you have to utilize only a certain type of Pikmin.
