Animal crossing style mmo except pokemon.
You're a pokemon; your neighbor's a pokemon; the bugs and fish you catch are pokemon; everything's pokemon.
You wouldn't get to choose what pokemon you are though as that would get decided randomly. You are also only able to be a pokemon that has hands or something just as maneuverable. Once what pokemon you're going to be has been decided it will be permanently tied to your version of the game or console, meaning you either have to buy a new game to get another chance of getting what you want, or buy one from someone that got the pokemon you wanted.
Why? Because fug you.
The towns or cities you live in are the ones from the games except larger. You can travel to different towns or cities to find different bug/fish pokemon to catch and different items to find.
Instead of being a trainer you could choose to be a breeder and instead of breeding for better stats it would be for things like slightly different colour combinations or patterns, personalities that have a noticeable impact of the pokemons behavior, size, and whatever other shit that I can't think of right now.
You could become a berry farmer, pokeball crafter/designer, pokemon food chef, pokemon contest participant, or whatever other shit that I can't think of right now.
Anything and everything you make can be sold or traded to other players so as to create a virtual economy where everyone has a role to play and the best of the best in each area of craft become known for their handiwork.
Since there would probably be too many players to fit into each individual town there would be layers to separate everybody. So like anon 1, 2, and 3 go to layer 11 and they all live there permanently now until one of them moves to a different town or they hate each other so much they all move to a different layer
Anyway this has been my proposal for a game that will never exist.
