>>43213252It was an okay game. The wild area was too small, too sparsely populated with pokemon/trainers and didnt have enough vegetation or variety of environments. I also thought the games routes were too small, their were like 4 trainers on each route and their were no dungeons just 2 caves that were straight lines that lead to the next town. The towns were very small and had the few basic shops and two explorable houses. they all should have been as big as hammerlocke and wyndon but had things to do in them. The story wasn't the best and the bad guy had very weak motivations.
You had no way to earn BP before the postgame afaik and the raid battles need to be done online otherwise the ai picks useless trainers with shitty pokemon and bad movesets to help you. The game was way too easy and I beat it with one pokemon that would set up and sweep everything.
Dynamax and Gigantamax are cool for the first 5 minutes but the novelty wears off quickly. I have major gripes about not being able to breed Gmax pokemon or find them in the wild without raid battles and the fact that they scrapped mega evolutions entirely instead of some pokemon can Gmax that cant mega evo and vice versa.
The graphics and sound design were very good and the gym leader theme is great. Character design and customization were very much improved. Pokemon design is always a personal taste but I think the design in this gen was trash aside from corviknight and duraludon. The starters were especially lame this time around same with the legendaries.
I have to mention the cut pokemon and gamefreaks lie regarding that was a dick move and lead me to delay my purchase of the game until I bought it off a friend who didnt like it so the pokemon company didnt profit off of my purchase.
