>>43214010It's sad because I feel like a lot of people don't really get the point of the extended prologue. It's not really so much to serve as an "explanation" for any piece of lore (thanks a lot English dub) than it is to drive Mewtwo's journey of self-existence home. It's too bad that this theme is still majorly distracted by Ash's plot in the movie when the film should have just been Mewtwo's story alone.
So while the extended prologue doesn't exactly fix all the issues with the first movie, it at least better sets the existential tone that gets ignored for most of the movie once focus shifts towards Ash and co.
