How good is escavalier ingame? I've only used him on showdown because it never occured to me or anyone I knew to trade trash bug prevo #1 for trash bug prevo #2.

it's very good. used him in Black, Black 2 and X. It easily sweep ingame. of course not Fire types, but it gets Drill Run and Razor Shell, so it can still harm them with a bit of luck

It's basically a worse Scizor, but as Scizor isn't natively available in the Gen V games it's a perfectly usable replacement.

I used Escavalier in a rom hack that allowed you to evolve trade evos through other means. It immediately became the powerhouse of my team and a bro for life.

I loved Litten and Torracat but used to hate him with all my heart, until giving him a chance recently has endeared me to him somewhat. His level of expressiveness is outstanding compared to just about every other pokemon, and his movepool has some fun stuff in it. I also feel like it has a better excuse for its level of anthropomorphism than most others because of how Litten is a domestic animal. And of course it’s cool that he’s in smash.

Vullaby carried me through UltraMoon.
Admitedly it was high on affection wich some may consider cheating but I'll never forget it surviving Ultra Necrozma twice in a row and defeating it almost singlehandely.

Kecleon is pretty much irrelevant when Greninja exists, but I love using it ingame whenever I get the chance.

1:reliable recover while Escavalier has to run lol rest
2:a better ability than anything three abilities that escavalier can have in technician
4:$tab U-turn that lets it get the fuck out and dodge and keep monument up
3: a fucking mega that's a better sweeper and a wall than Escavalier could ever hope to be with 35+ more defense and 15+ atk and has 90 base power priority bullet punches after stab and another 1.5x multiplier and recovery that lets it sweep humans that aren't in game bots or literal children.

No real person would ever get swept by an escaliver if you brought it to OU where mega scizor is. lol at the braindead OP who thought it was impressive that he swept in game trainers with it. They're probably not much dumber than he is.
