Design a special battle format, an arena or something, something that gives special rules for how the battle goes about, such as what Pokemon can be used, what moves can be used, what game mechanics are implemented, etc. Doesn't have to be complex or convoluted, just interesting and fun.

Think Sky Battles, but hopefully with more interesting rules than just "no Pokemon that we didn't animate flying".
