You also need to restart like 50 times so you can unlock the true ending whrre you catch mewthree, after fighting proffessor oak with all the 150 pokemon.

For Yellow version, hopefully you picked up the Chesto Berry in the S.S. Anne, because you can use that to wake up a Pokemon. If the ship left though, you're gonna have to hope you find someone with a "Game Link Cable" (remember, Yellow came out before internet was invented) to trade you one, or you have to restart the game
