>>43226020>Mt Coronet is your standard mountain dungeon like Mt Mortar and SilverUnlike these two examples, Mt Coronet has notable plot relevance. The entire region literally revolves around it, and you pass through it multiple times as part of your journey. In addition, unlike Mortar and Silver, it isn't just a glorified cave, and you actually scale the outside of the mountain.
>Eterna Forest is pretty much just a generic forest area like Viridian, Ilex, and Petalburg forestsEterna Forest seperates itself by including a haunted mansion, and going heavier on the spooky themes. It's not much, but given that Viridian and Petalburg are literally just obligatory forests, I feel it's unfair to compare these. Ilex is somewhat comparable in how they're basically just "forest with X", but the themes are different and there's not a whole lot you can do anyway. The region would feel odd without a forest, and a forest doesn't open itself up for the most creativity.
>Old Chateau is your abandoned mansion/spoopy area like Pokemon Tower, Pokemon Mansion, and Wrecked ShipFair.
>Eterna Building is the Goldenrod Radio TowerThis is a stretch to say the least. You'd be better off comparing it to the hideout in Mahogany, and even then Eterna Building is much more aggressive and serves as a well executed contrast to the rest of the town.
>Veilstone Building functions the same as Silph Company, and Aqua/Magma hideoutIt's an evil team base, so like a forest it's pretty much mandatory. Unlike those two, however, Veilstone Building serves more like a cult gathering, even down to having really messed up activities happening underground.
>Lost Tower isn't much different from Pokemon tower and Mt PyreFair, but I feel that Lost Tower is important to Sinnoh's overall identity - without it, it'd be much harder to sell that people and Pokemon are near equal. Meanwhile, Pokemon Tower was literally so irrelevant to Kanto's theming that it stopped being a graveyard in gen 2.
