>>43226674Watching the English dub for a show specifically made for younger children and their families is more pointless than watching it subbed. If you're watching it dubbed, it means you're specifically watching it to pay attention to the story and writing, and the Pokémon anime is generally ass in that regard. It also doesn't help that they replace some of the more technically impressive aspects like the music and opening animation. I don't really watch Pokémon as an adult, but I'll check out sakugabooru to marvel at the animation and the stuff that actually can be impressive to an adult.
The only particularly interesting writing Pokémon does is in its synopses (ie. Ash catches a Dragonite) rather than in the actual story (ie. Ash befriends a a Dragonair and blah blah blah nobody cares).
