>>43234516Two problems. First, if the file is compressed (this one is), the known plaintext has to be compressed the same way. Second, there's no guarantee the first few bytes are the same as Gold JP, that's where the reset vectors are stored and they could very well differ.
First 16 bytes of Gold JP:
F3 C3 00 01 00 00 00 00 C3 E3 2D 00 00 00 00 00
That E3 2D will change if ANYTHING gets added or removed in the first 10 kilobytes of the proto.
Granted, it's worth trying. Trying to bruteforce the password on a likely troll is just stupid.
