>>43253879well currently stall DOESN'T exist.
at least, at the tourney level.
you may see some retard using stall on ladder every once in a while but their team is by no means good and likely loses to several key meta pokemon with little effort.
stall is a team style that relies solely on walls and sometimes a trapper or two, but every trapper is now either banned, removed from the game, or non-functional because pursuit was culled.
what separated stall from very defensive balance teams or semistall is that they lack a tradition wincon (setup, sweepers, breakers, etc) and instead aim to win games by either forcing the opponent to forfiet or the opponent misplaying so that their breakers die to status, chip damage, or loss of PP
stall teams are hated for being overly flowcharty, because using only walls means you only ever need to react to the opponent and not make any sort of plays yourself. it also gets hate for being a matchup fishing playstyle, because some teams lacking stallbreakers will have literally no way of winning unless the stall player makes huge misplays, while a team prepped for the stall matchup will win extremely easily. And obviously it's hated for dragging the game out and being boring, although imho dismantling a stall team is one of the most satisfying and fulfilling battles you can have.
