>B)I see the problem as this: they don't have to maintain all features. No one's asking for a game with Z-moves, Megas, Dynamax, Contests, air battles, soaring, Underground and bases together, Raid Battles, wristwatch, etc. all together in a big mess. It's that they'll have good features that are unanimously liked that take very little effort to add, which GF still refuse to add. Keep the smaller, good features like rebattle-able trainer/gym leaders, Dexnav or something similar, following Pokémon, etc. The thing is, they actively avoid past features that worked, and then add BAD features to replace them. They still pile on tons of features with some being good; they just throw away many older good ones in exchange for bad ones, like the festival plaza or Dynamax. It's like they don't evolve, retaining beneficial features and removing the complicated and not-well-received ones; they keep piling on features, but purposefully avoid the concepts of refinement and polish.
