Babies are great to introduce stronger, typically late-game Pokemon early on, helping switch up playthroughs and let people get their favorites earlier.
The big issue with baby Pokemon is that they take up an evolution slot. Maybe it would be better if baby Pokemon didn't count towards the three evolution limit.
