I don't think I've hit a wall like I did with Norman in Pokemon since I was actually six playing this game. This motherfucker just two-shots or one-shots my entire team, meanwhile there are no convenient training spots to get anyone up past level 25 or so to be able to tank the hits and take out his Slaking.

In desperation I took my tiny little undertrained Aron called Pearl and stuck her at the top of the team, thinking maybe the Rock/Steel combo would let her tank the hits. I set up on Spinda by putting her on a Super Potion drip while I spammed Iron Defense, then avoided Slaking's counter by only attacking every alternate turn.

I couldn't believe it when I beat his whole team with one tiny level 24 Aron.
