megas werent a shitty gimmick. everyone liked them when they first came out. infact it was so good that its what caused them to try and continue this new gimmick idea every year. But the new ones have all been shit. its like that scary movie Paranormal activity. the first one was legendary but the following 4 sequals were trash. it be like that

I really hope they scarp gigantimaxing forever. that shit was an abomination. ORAS was good in my opinion. As someone who started playing pokemon with Emerald i can confidently say i enjoyed ORAS. it was very much acceptable. Only thing i could have wished for was the battle frontier but over all good

Megas were trash, you were essentially forced to commit to one Pokemon to be your ace instead of building a balanced team and a lot were ludicrously broken. At least D/Gmax provide tactical options in battle beyond “haha me click super mode”

Being fair, megas were still brought back in LGPE while z-moves were thrown out immediately. Currently the new gen is doing its gimmick but it's still is pushing mega merch.

Megas were a fucking sensation. The gimmick was brought back in multiple games and there are statistics that prove people like them. if someone could find them for me i would be so grateful because i can't at the moment. And forcing to commit to one pokemon as your ace who you really like is what makes mega evolution so cool. not only that they introduced megas by carefully selecting pokemon that are many peoples fan favorites and where in the pokemon of the year list aswell. for example. Gengar, charizard, Lucario. You can choose the one you like the most and build a balanced team around it. you literally make no sense. infact i love swampert. he's my ace. heres a balanced team i built around him. Grass/fire/water core. Two walls and some speedy pokemon. Agreat mix of offense and defense with good type coverage and only one or two weaknesses. I swear gamefreak can't win with some of you. Go back to playing Zelda or someshit.

Charon would be really anticlimactic, and so would Saturn to an extent even if he is very devoted to Cyrus. Sounds strange but maybe Ghetsis? He seemed really hell bent on collecting the abyssal plates and somehow acquired all three of the creation orbs in BW. Guy definitely has a god complex, he wanted to rule every universe from the shadows in USUM so he's already aimed higher than Arceus before.
