I'm playing Ultra Moon right now and I need to pick a starter. I want to go with the cute blue seal but my boyfriend is insisting that the fire guy is stronger. Which one should I go for? I'm legitimately confused.

I can’t remember exactly, but there’s a way to get a second starter with the hidden ability. I suggest you take Rowlet and have Litten be your 2nd starter.

Someone help me on this. It’s a mystery gift, right? And it’s still active to this day?

Litten’s final evolution is great, but only in doubles and only if it has its hidden ability, which the one you get as a starter can’t have. Popplio is the best one in-game, so go with your heart.

Litten's evolutions are only stronger in competitive Doubles which isn't something that the starter can do unless you edit its ability with an external program. Popplio's evolutions are stronger in every other scenario.
