>>43246046The idea I had in mind wasn't so much "some rando appears out of nowhere and he's you now", but rather there was another character aside from your partner who had been with you throughout the whole game (Bidoof, Dunsparce, characters like them) and after all's said and done and your main character dies/leaves, your main partner and that secondary partner continue on in the post game, whether it's carrying your legacy, or just trying to move on. I'm not saying it's perfect, but personally I like that idea more than the fifth rehash of "jk not dead lol"
