Idk even in gen1 did we really need that many pokemon?
Some of them seem redundant, poorly designed, or lines that are really shitty alternatives to good pokemon.

The list goes on and fucking on and on up until recently ...What's the point of having like 75 lines when only fucking 20 of them are worth a damn in the first gen alone? Now we have tons of pokemon that are just taking up space and not doing anything
