>>43252300I'd go for something simple and realistic, like how a real person would act and talk were you to try and engage in some mild banter (Assuming they were nice and wouldn't say fuck off) Example of an NPC in the underground hallway in goldenrod:
"Hm? Oh, hey kid, I see you got some pokemon on you, y'know I'm not really a trainer myself but just over there you can get a hair cut for your pokemon. My nephew said his sentret loved it, you should try it out"
Example of an NPC on route 210 in the foggy half, the bird keeper, if you talk to them after your battle:
"Yeesh, this really isn't the place to have a pokemon battle. Not because of the cliff mind you, my bird pokemon got me covered, but the fog makes my attacks miss all the time! If only I had the defog HM..."
Example of an NPC in the unova region, somewhere around the daycare:
"Gothorita can be male or female, but you really couldn't tell by looking at one. If you're thinking about breeding pokemon over there, little things like that are a must know, y'know?
Honestly it isn't hard to make good dialogue if it's so short, literally any idiot could probably make up 15-20 NPCs worth of diologue in no time.
