>>43251168The console was never an excuse. There are great games on handheld. There are great games on SNES. GBA is just a more powerful SNES. Pokémon games used to be great. There was a drop off in quality from BW to XY, but it was their first 3D so I guess that’s excusable, but then SM is even a bigger drop in qual from XY than XY was to BW. SWSH is of similar quality to SM since it’s basically a port. But yeah. Up to gen VI all Pokémon games I say are redeemable. VII&VII are barely even games. As soon as they nerfed the map down to hallways leading to objective flags the series flatlined. Period.
