GameFreak deserves better.
They gave us an amazing franchise in 1996 and have stuck to it.
It's too bad that people will blame GameFreak for everything, when TPCi and Nintendo are more to blame.

Game Freak has to sit down with Nintendo and TPC and plan shit out with them. They can say if they want more time, but they won't. Game Freak is at fault along with Nintendo and TPC, they aren't blameless.

TPC is not EA breathing on some poor developers neck, TPC is a joint cooperation between Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures to handle the brand, and each has their own roles and responsibilites. Game Freak handles the games. TPC didn't "force" Game Freak to do shit, Game Freak did this to themselves.

Yes, we should be blaming TPC and Nintendo for the problems we are facing, like the removal of every fan favorite features. Or simplifying the game's difficulty to extreme baby mode. Or the PR nightmare of Sword/Shield pre-release. Or the low quality story of Sword/Shield that's awful even by Pokemon standards.

Because those are definitely TPC and Nintendo's faults and not the developers themselves.

It's an amazing concept that has incredible potential and was off to a fantastic start, but nowadays there is almost nothing being done to realize that potential.
