>>43265351 said, it feels like Swampert earned what popularity it has and that's a silver lining of sorts. It feels more natural to like it and not like I'm just part of a marketing pitch. The fanbase made the memes, the fanbase put it on the map in competitve, and the fanbase keeps it from being forgotten. That's pretty good in the grand scheme of things.
