I understand where it comes from but being cosmic just feels wrong to me.

That said, probably rubber is my favorite from the ones I've seen. It hits a nice balance of "yeah, that could work" and "completely idiotic, kys". It's a goofy type that'd have goofy mons.

Cosmic type is just fairy + psychic
Sound type is just normal type
Light type is just electric + fairy
Beast type is just normal + dark

Techno type
It's super effective against steel, but it's not very effective against Grass and Ghost.
It's weak against Bug, Ghost and Water, but it resists Steel and Electric.
I'm still not sure which other changes could make it more interesting.

I feel Sound should be a pseudo Type, making sound-based attacks a bit more or less powerful against certain Pokemon. Other types could be reworked to be pseudo-types like Rock/Ground or Water/Ice, but it may be a bit convoluting.

Cosmic should be a real type.
Plastic is an interesting idea, but new pokemon would need to be made for it because less than 10 existing pokemon could be reasonably converted.
An argument can be made for a Wood type being related to but distinct from Grass the way Ice is to Water.

I can't think of a concept for a special wood move. It would have to be forced like how Zen Headbutt was a forced physical psychic attack.

There wouldn't be too many retconned pokemon. The only wood themed pokemon I can think of are already grass type, so new pokemon might need to be introduced to make it interesting. Animated wood/ghosts, regiwood, or a wood burmy/wormadam could be possible deviants from the "wood pokemon are grass types" paradigm.
