I hate Tobias for being an blatant reason to not have Ash win, but I also love it because he's the only trainer in Sinnoh to take out that Darkrai, and on top of that he takes a Latios down too.

Really good by pokemon standards. Paul is the best rival in the anime, infernape arc works super well and the league where ash brings back pokemon he used from previous region was amazing. The filler is fucking awful tho.

It’s a solid but was way too fucking long for its own good and that could of been mitigated if the writers put up the sinnoh league earlier and pulled a battle frontier and dedicated the last season to the battle resort (at least we could of gotten a rematch between Ash and Palmer).

Good. I like gen 1-4 of the anime; I enjoy the side content like contests, competitions, and filler. BW, was when I felt like the anime try to be more like the games, side content was trash, and the rivals were probably the worst.
