Can someone give the tl;dr on why this guy is hated by certain members of the community? He's been doing a lot of good as far as promoting VGC, so what's so bad about him?

He put that same wannabe smoldering face on most of his video thumbnails for the longest time (although he doesn't do that much anymore I don't think) and he keeps putting "Pokemon World Champion" in all of his video titles. Yes, when the Pokeballs suggests that a Pokemon won't know a move, then it knows it, it misleads the opponent and gives an unfair advantage. He knows this, because he's autistic enough to have memorized what certain balls on certain Pokemon mean, and he knows any opponent he fights at the Worlds level will be equally autistic.

That said, the cheating isn't entirely his fault. Any time money is on the line in a competition, if it's possible to cheat and get away with it, people will cheat. GF needed to have better hack checking.
