Seriously, you fucking missed out. I still have a folder that contains a complete set of cards from Base Set, probably the only thing of note I did as a child. I have all my old games too.
I remember being a little kid when the intro would play for the anime, I remember getting excited to link trade and battle with friends, I still remember the fresh card scent of the card shop we would go to in hopes of opening up a Charizard. I remember the rumors of having to hit A+B 50 times at the trash can to get Mew in professor Oaks lab. I remember finding out about missingno, I remember winning 2 WOTC badges at the mall, still have them both too.
I miss the 90s.
