Normally you'd just enjoy more something new and improved rather than a less substantial equivalent of it. But if you are ok with less, means that you are becoming actually conformist with time, this is something really good and mature, so do not feel insecure, it doesnt have any value in pokemon videogames, but it can help you in many other aspects of life, as it it is easier being happy for someone that doesn't need much.
