I hate double battles but loved triple battle for some reason. Something about the positioning set it apart. Sucks it's gone away like almost every good feature Gamefreak implements.

Gen 6 could (poorly) handle them, but they showed it was possible. If they worked with lower resolution models they could easily make them work.

Kinda. It depends whether or not you're playing on an emulator or an actual DS. On the DS the screen is so small that you don't really notice the bad resolution. But on an emulator it becomes way more obvious. Granted it does look a bit better in motion than as a still image
