I too wasn't interested in SwSh initially, but I managed to find a copy of Sword used for $20 a month or two ago and doing raids is pretty fun; too bad about the story and all.
I got three shinies in the past week, and two of them were from last night. I got a Maractus, Roselia, and a Munchlax.

Are you playing Raids with vp or friends, because I find them absolutely shit when I try then solo. They're either a slow and boring sweep or my retarded partners ruin everything while the stupid shields prevent you from winning

Eternatus cheese is the most reliable way to solo raid. Dynamax Cannon still deals damage while busting shields.

so does every other move but it will do more damage if you have an insane amount of stat boosts. Once I used a storm drain gastrodon to fight a cloyster and thanks to storm boosting the shit out it's special attack it was able to knock out the cloyster before the shields even went down

Zacian for physically weak 'mons, Eternatus for specially weak. Helps to mint (if they're not the right nature already) and EV them to max speed and Attk/Sp. Attk. too.
