I play For Honor on Xbox. It only has 4,000 unique users in a 24 hour period and I find games just fine. I don’t know why this is an argument for popularity

Yes, just like the other highly succesful recent pokemon games, proving OP is highly delusional. Hell one could argue that SwSh's success is actualy heftier than the other games, since it sold more than XY and SM and since it has mantained it's grip even though it has actual competition, while SM came out at a time where Nintendo had literally nothing else.

Even at the face of the newest meme game people still post about it. Factualy. And sales 5 months later are still outpacing XY and SM's tracked weekly sales, meaning that AC is not remotely hurting the game's legs.

Friendly reminder the "Nintendo Seal of Quality" was only a guarantee the game marked with it would run properly, with no major game-breaking bugs. It didn't mean the game marked was actually any good from a gameplay perspective, just that it wouldn't risk damaging your home console.

Part of the reason for the gaming crash was there was no quality control, anyone buying a game didn't know if they'd get one that ran well or an ET clone. Nintendo were very reticent to take the Famicom (NES) to the west because of the crash, it was only when they saw the signs of recovery they decided to move in and to distinguish themselves, started slapping the quality seal on their games, to let consumers know the games were largely free of game-breaking bugs or major crashing issues. It was as much to protect their brand and their games they did it, but it also helped them by building trust between them and their customers, they knew they were getting a game that worked.

And they're not easily-replicable, you need to really work to get the game to bug out. But if you want to call the glitches inherent to the system akin to softlocks, hardlocks, broken maps, broken quest chain etc, feel free. I'm going to call you a retard for it however. That's the difference between a glichy game and an outright broken one in my estimation, going back to the old ET example, a game so fundamentally broken at the source code level it's just uplayable.
