TPC is at fault for underfunding the game and game freak is at fault for using the budget they're given poorly
no one would complain about the graphics if this was the biggest pokémon game ever with the most content, but it's not. it fails in all aspects.
>acting like Gamefreak was the only one that hurted on their jump to HD development is sillykirby and fire emblem still look good in general gameplay, whereas swoosh struggles to compete with ps2 games.
star allies is a little disappointing so ill admit they struggled there, though HAL did make up for it somewhat with tons of free DLC.
three houses is probably the biggest fire emblem game ever and moves the series forward in huge ways. they benefitted from the better hardware with an open environment to explore and increased scope.
nothing in swoosh feels like a new console experience. the wild area is less complex than areas from the 2D games and there's fewer pokémon, fewer facilities, fewer moves, fewer battle types, fewer routes, fewer items, etc.
there's no excuse for that. fire emblem and xenoblade and kirby should not have a bigger budget than pokémon.
