Show me a Pokemon or an evolutionary line that's more shafted in terms of availability than these two. Pineco and Forretress have existed since Gen II (i.e. almost the entire existence of the franchise) and the only games where they're available at a reasonable point are GSC/HGSS (these essentially count as one) and USUM, and even in those games they're not that easy to find.

>Gen II: Headbutt tree exclusive and knows Selfdestruct, making Pineco a pain in the ass to find and catch
>Gen III: Emerald post-game only. Unavailable in FRLG/RS
>DPP: Dual-slot mode only with Emerald. Unavailable for anyone who doesn't have an original DS console and a copy of Emerald
>Gen V: Post-game only swarm only
>Gen VI: Post-game only in XY (Friend Safari, requires you to have a friend with the right safari), Mirage Spot exclusive in ORAS (near the end of the game and RNG dependent)
>Gen VII: Unavailable in SM, somehow actually available on a single route from rustling trees in Ula'ula
>Gen VIII: Didn't make it into the regional dex (no surprises here)

Its almost as if GF is trying to tell people in a not-so-subtle way that they shouldn't use Forretress in-game, which really upsets me as I like Forretress a lot. Is there any Pokemon that has it worse or is this peak suffering?
