i'm trying to get into pokemon manga, is there a specific order i should read them in? which one is recommended to start with? i think black and white seems interesting, is it okay to start that one without reading adventures?

Dude just start from the beginning, I haven't finished yet but I'm at the end of gold/silver arc. Pretty interesting concepts and world building, I just wish GF would animate it already

Start at the first one dummy, I don't know why reading chronologically seems to be hard for people.

Goes straight downhill once you finish G/S. DP is alright, but Adventure never really hits the feel of the early arcs ever again.

Pokemon Black/White manga which originally started in 2010 but has been put on Hiatus and then restarted nearly 6 times over the last decade. The next chapter of one edition based on a game released in 2010 is due in May 2020.

The only people who are happy are shippers who want to see the main characters from Black and White hook up
