personally I use quiver dance on it, ty gen 5. it's a really beautiful pokemon with really beautiful coloring (even though that pic doesn't show it), especially in the gen 2 games.

Dream Eater is never worth it, if you want a Psychic attack just teach it Psychic
And if you want actual damage use Air Slash, Hurricane or Bug Buzz
If you're really hung on the 'longevity' Dream Eater brings, just use Quiver Dance and enjoy the boosted SpDef.

tried to use it multiple times ingame, it falls of around lv 30-35 because of it's typing and how frail it is. The only way it can compete later is if you get lucky with sleep. Same thing with Venomoth.
